“Through education, morality, diligence, self-confidence and cultivating girls to achieve a high position in all fields.”
In the early part of the twentieth century, when the Patidar society was mired in darkness and curiosity, Shri Chhaganlal, Purushottamdas, Shri Naginbhai and other leaders of the society rushed to rescue the society from its predicament. On Sunday 8th June 1919, ‘Shri Kadwa Patidar Uttejak Mandal’ was established. The school, which started with a capital of Rs. 16 and 6 students, grew in number every year and received donations from well-wishers. In order to get a grant from the government, there was a need to change the name to ‘Shri Kadwa Patidar Uttejak Mandal’. Due to this, “Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal” was established in 1935.
“Pujya Chhaganbha”
Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal was established in the year 1919 by a philanthropist Pujya Chhaganbha. Seeing the inevitability of building a student ashram, Shri Chhaganlal vowed that I will unite until the students of the institute get their own house. With this pledge, Chhaganlal Pitambardas became Mati Sauna Chhaganbha. The basic principle taught by him is “Kar bhala hoga bhala” which is the main way for the growth of educational activities conducted by the trust. Starting with just 7 students at that time, the trust operates various schools and colleges at both Kadi and Gandhinagar, with more than 55,000 students. Out of these 55,000 students, about 8000 students, both boys and girls .. live in hostels run by the trust.
The Trust receives financial support from alumni and they play an important role in management, donating to the foreign Indian community through which our students get better facilities.
The Trust has always provided value-based education to all students irrespective of gender, religion. Based on the motto of “Kar bhala hoga bhala”, we give admission in various courses only on the basis of merit.
The Trust has also undertaken activities such as the adoption of Anganwadis and Government Schools at Gandhinagar and is very much committed to taking this initiative for the well-being of children in these places.
